Note from the Editor-in-Chief
It gives me much pleasure to announce that the Vol-5 of Karotoya, North Bengal University Journal of History has been published with 13 Research Paper of different tastes. In this volume a good number of papers have contributed by the Ph.D. Scholars of the Department. It is an honest attempt to promote the budding scholars in the wider arena of historical Research. I believe that the papers will open a new discourse in some of the unexplored areas.
I am grateful to the contributors who have given their untiring effort in writing these articles. My thanks are due to those who have directly or indirectly helped in completion of the work.
Lastly, I am extending my thanks to the official and staff of North Bengal University Press for their earnest co- operation in printing the volume within a very short time.
